Benjamin has been on staff
for seven years as a pastor and teacher at The Bridge Community Church’s
Leadington campus, http://www.bridgelife360.com, a multi-congregational and missional church in St. Francois and Jefferson Counties. In that time, he has
been a primary teacher of their celebration services, a missional cell coach
and leader, a worship leader, a team leader for multiple international mission trips, and he has served the initial launch team that has seen the faith
community grow from 15 to nearly 700 in a rural context.
Before The Bridge,
Benjamin worked for Youth for Christ as a Campus Life Director, running campus
clubs in schools across three counties. Benjamin oversaw 220 students in
addition to adult volunteers in their school clubs, camps, retreats, and neighborhood
small groups. He also traveled around the region playing music and leading worship at multiple large-scale youth gatherings with his former band, Parallax View.
Benjamin and his wife
Becky met and married in Farmington, Missouri where they have lived for nine years. You can find them often laughing and
dancing with their three young daughters Brylee, Halle and Erin. Benjamin truly
believes, as one poet said, that “the world is charged with the grandeur of
God,” and that our first job as human beings, Christians, and missionaries is
simply to notice; to come awake to that grandeur.
