Yesterday I challenged the fellowship to make six commitments. One of the six commitments was to fill your mind with God's truth. So, how about reading a book of the Bible together leading up to Easter? This is a great way to reboot your Bible reading if you have slowed or stopped.
Here’s your invitation: Join me in reading through Romans in March. Why Romans? Because it’s a book Martin Luther described in this way:
We find in this letter, then, the richest possible teaching about what a Christian should know: the meaning of law, Gospel, sin, punishment, grace, faith, justice, Christ, God, good works, love, hope and the cross.
Romans reveals God's judging and saving righteousness in the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the cross of Christ, God judges sin and yet at the same time shows his saving mercy. My hope is that your faith in Christ and all he’s done for you will grow and produce fruit in your life.
Note: I stole this idea from Elyse Fitspatrick and adapted it for our faith family.
The Reading Plan:
March 3-9, chapters 1-4
March 10-16, chapters 5-8
